Winter Sunset Near Burbage Brook

An outing to the Peak District between stays in Minehead and Durham, and took my self to one of my regular play places as I did not want to take risks in the wintry weather.

What I really like about this image is how much of the sky had reflected upon the snow - a really lovely blue; and the tree is in isolation with the setting sun behind. A very brave thing to do in such strong sunlight. I used a graduated filter to help with the exposure, keeping the tree in silhouette.
