I am Angie Morton a Sheffield based photographer.
I originate from Durham in the North East of England.
I have lived away from Durham for most of my life. I left when I was eighteen to study at Nottingham Trent Polytechnic.
After graduating I moved to Sheffield and have lived here since 1994, with a brief interlude in Cambridge.
I am on a journey of self discovery and I would like very much for you to join me on that road and enjoy my beautiful art work.
I have two specialist key areas landscape and macro photography.
Landscape Photography
'Evoking a memory of a landscape'
I specialise in Landscape photography, from sunsets to architecture, seascapes to sculpture. Evolving my techniques in long exposure.
I am inspired by my surroundings.
My landscape photographs are mostly from the North-East and the Peaks District. I travel home to visit my family regularly and if I get the opportunity I will add to some scenery of my favourite locations to my landscape portfolio. It is always nice to go back home and discover some new places and old.
Sheffield has some of the most unusual and thought provoking architecture in the UK and is a stones throw from the Peak District National Park. I will often take a walk and snap up the beautiful views, local rivers, valleys and dramatic cliffs, or take a photograph of city architecture and skyline.

Macro Photography
'Evocative creations of nature'
I specialise in Macro photography. Photographing flowers and occasional creatures. Having a scientific background I will always be inspired by nature.
I love to photograph flowers and bring the small and delicate details to the fore; to capture a beautiful display of nature.
Flowers are evocative and I enjoy capturing their beauty.
I will always try and find a natural surrounding of the flowers or creature where best I can, using the natural light. Occasionally I will do some indoor photography of flowers, as the weather is not always favourably.

My Equipment
'Nothing too Flash...'
My current camera a Canon EOS 6D MkI, Some of my older work was produced using the canon EOS 550D.
I use EF 100mm f2.8L IS USM macro lens for close up and studio work.
For my landscapes I use EF 17-40mm F4L USM wide angle zoom.
