Withernsea is a seaside resort 17.5 miles east of Hull and is situated in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It has 18 sea defence groynes that hugs this part of the Holderness coast. This part of the English coast is known to be the fastest eroding coastline in Europe.
From the beach you can see the Westermost Rough offshore windfarm, looking south easterly you can also make out the Humber Gateway offshore windfarm. The prime meridian cuts the coast just north west of Withernsea. Available at Photo4me
