Hind Wheel Weir

Hind Wheel Weir is situated along the River Rivelin in the Rivelin Valley, a short distance from mMalin Bridge in Hillsborough. The Rivelin was an area of industry for mulls forges and cutlers. History dating back from 16th century. The photograph was taken from underneath the bridge. the bridge leads up to a large pond which would have served the wheel. Rivelin Valley is practically on my doorstep and is another source of inspiration.
