Minehead by the Sea
Christmas Day 2014 Second image of the Christmas Day Collection Steps taking you on to the beach at Minehead, near the Butlins holiday camp. I personally undecided whether I like the building which reminds me of a bizarre ice cream cones or weird hedgehog. Maybe one day I might appreciate its modernistic style. However, I much prefer the serenity of the beach and Art Deco style of the holiday flats overlooking the beach out into the Bristol Channel. Upon the horizon, there are groyne markers and a couple with their dog having a Christmas Day stroll. The tide was still coming in and climbing the steps. This 1/2 second exposure has been deliberate in capturing the movement of the swell and the clouds looking like they have just been puffed out from a steam locomotive.
