Minehead Dunes at Sunrise
Christmas Day 2014 The first picture of three of the Christmas Day Collection 2014. We went to my partners parents for Christmas this year. We stayed in a plush B&B next to the sea. This was an opportunity not to be missed. Getting up before sunrise taking a walk along the sea front. I found a part sheltered spot at the end of the Esplanade and was conscious of the incoming tide. It was blowy and the incoming tide was choppy. I hoped to get the blue light and the colours in the sky. The sun rose behind the dunes, giving shade over the tops of the dunes, with some light reflecting upon the rocks and pebbles on the beach. The long expsoure which is not all that long (8 seconds) has been enough to blur the water and some clouds. Available as canvas, prints and phone covers. Please click on the image for further details
